Next Wednesday, I will be spending my afternoon in Amsterdam before my departure to Istanbul. I’ve dreamt of visiting this city for many years now…words cannot describe how excited I am!

I don’t know if I have already shared this with my followers, but last week, I officially got promoted at WRAS as the Public Service Director! I’m really excited about this. I start next week (May 1st)! :D
Also, it just hit me that I’ll be traveling to Istanbul in about 3 weeks! Next week, I start my maymaster classes for the trip and then travel orientation the following week! For the trip, we’ll be given camera to record our experience and at the end, we’re going to make a short film of it! :)
Finally, next week the blog i work for, Hanus (www.hanus.tv) is hosting a show at Wonderroot (atlanta!)! We’ve booked some great punk, ska, and pop punk bands for the night and it will be a filmed event! I’ll be interviewing a few of the bands as well.
If you live in the area, join us!! It’s going be great!! :D

After a whole week spent on an application essay and an intense interview with Program Directors, I was officially chosen to participate in the study abroad program in Turkey!!! I’m trying me best to contain my happiness, but it’s too much. I’m so excited, guys!!
So when I get there, I will be visiting (taken from brochure):
Spice Market, the oldest church/mosque/museum in the world (Hagia Sophia), Topkapi Palace, Dolmabahce Palace, the Galata Tower, the world’s most recognized Mosque (Sultan Ahmed, or the Blue Mosque for short) and, of course, a soothing cruise down the Bosphorus Sea! Istanbul—the only city in the world to sit on two continents, Europe and Asia. I can’t believe I’m actually going to Turkey, guys!!! AHHH!
